It begins on the farm

Mutombo Coffee® started with a simple belief: the women who grow coffee deserve to share in its value. On our partner farms and cooperatives across Africa and Latin America, many of the harvesters are women. They are the glue of their families, and they invest what they earn back into their communities.

Mutombo Coffee® is a Black- and woman-owned specialty coffee brand. We source through sustainable, fair-trade practices so every bag carries that purpose from farm to cup.

Every bag is a vote for the women who grow it.

Chapter twoTexas A&M Black Former Student Network

It grows in Aggieland

The Black Former Student Network brings together Black alumni, students, faculty and staff across the Texas A&M University System. Through lifelong engagement, scholarships and shared experiences, BFSN celebrates its legacy and strengthens the bonds that unite Black Aggies.

Its mission is to uplift and support Black Aggies across generations, and its vision is a fully inclusive university where Black students, faculty and staff are empowered to thrive and make a lasting impact.

Different roots, the same purpose

One story starts on a coffee farm and the other on a college campus. Both are about people lifting each other up.

Which coffee should I start with?
